Glint & glare

Solaïs has been the world leader in glint and glare studies since 2010, both in France and internationally.

Glint & Glare studies allow us to evaluate and prevent the risks of glare due to solar panels in sensitive areas such as airports, railways, or highways or in urban areas. We provide pragmatic solutions to address glint and glare issues caused by the installation of photovoltaic modules. Solaïs conducts glare studies at during the conception phase of photovoltaic projects using the internally developped SunReverb© software. Our SunReverb© software, specifically designed for conducting photovoltaic glare studies, is continuously updated to meet regulations such as the DGAC glare requirements (NIT of November 15, 2022). It delivers highly qualitative and explicit results.

An innovative solution to pre-validate ground-based photovoltaic plant projects and optimize the final layout of the tables

The proposed site studies provide a quick and efficient response to developers of ground-based photovoltaic plants, who are keen to optimise secured land parcels or those in the process of being secured.

The results of this service range from the analysis of the ground surface to the proposal of table configuration, for each identified area, allowing the optimization of the yield with regards to the local topography, the local meteorological conditions but also according to customer specific criteria.

The yield studies aim at characterizing the performance of photovoltaic generators (existing or under development) through an estimation of the local solar resource and the modeling of the generator under the PVsyst© software, the reference for all the stakeholders.

A statistical analysis of the results ultimately makes it possible to determine different percentiles (P50, P75, P90, etc.) for the yield (kWh/kWp) and the performance ratio, for a single generator or a portfolio, for year 1, years 1 to 10, etc. Our studies also allow a retroactive yield analysis within the framework of legal expertise (e.g. operating losses).
